Single Review: Rebecca Lou – ‘Under The Moon’

Following her riotous debut single ‘Bitch U Look Good’, and having been building a reputation across Denmark for her energy-filled live shows, with support slots with the likes of Velvet Volume under her belt, Danish artist Rebecca Lou is back with a brand new single.

Whilst a departure from her Riot Grrrl-inspired previous release, ‘Under The Moon’ maintains all the impassioned force we’ve come to expect from the artist. Filled with whirring hooks and Rebecca’s rich, swooning vocals, the track’s main selling point is its insanely catchy chorus.

Inspired by poems she wrote when she was just sixteen, ‘Under The Moon’ is an emotion-strewn slice of punk-pop with shades of the likes of Kelly Clarkson, capturing those “old emo heartaches” that we can all remember all too well…

‘Under The Moon’ is out now via We Are Suburban.
