As summer is just around the corner, the wannabe summer anthems are cueing up for their place time in the sun. The fresh faced band, Mausi have unleashed their shinny disco come power dance , in the form of ‘My Friend Has A Swimming Pool’.
The energetic four piece fronted by Daisy Finetto met at Uni in Newcastle and are proud of their difference to the local acts.
“A lot of Newcastle music is guitar bands trying to be rock/indie, which we originally tried to conform to, but then realised we were more influenced Pony Pony Run Run, Daft Punk and Phoenix.”
‘My Friend Has A Swimming Pool’ is the sound of a great summer, the track starts out with an infectious disco bass line and a valued dance piano as Daisy’s voice brings warmth and energy. The android voice hook of the track scrubs away the disco vide to reveal a summer dance anthem, built for a hazy late night adventure.
Mausi make brilliant feel good power pop tunes and ‘My Friend Has A Swimming Pool‘ is not exception.
