Single review: Jackie Venson ‘A Million Moments’

What a belter of a tune we have for you today, and what a talented lady! Jackie Venson‘s ‘A Million Moments’ defies genre in the best way possible and her guitar skills are absolutely flawless. Think St. Vincent meets Gary Clark Jr. (I know, right?!).

‘A Million Moments’ is far poppier than Jackie’s previous singles, which edge more towards the blues-rock realm, but that’s certainly not a bad thing! This single is a toe-tappingly addictive slice of alt-pop that can’t help but put a smile on your face. Jackie’s guitar skills are undeniably impeccable as well, which is no surprise, considering she picked up the guitar shortly after graduating from Berklee College of Music. She then made the giant leap from the traditions of classical music to the grittiness of blues and soul. Hats off to her we say!

‘A Million Moments’ is out now via Big Indie Records.
