Scottish duo Electric Ghost have announced themselves with the release of their uplifting rock ballad Just Hold On.
Combining the talents of multi-instrumentalist James Grant with the husky vocals of Mark Sharp, Electric Ghost originally began as a side project but have grown into something much bigger.
Exploring the well worn tropes of love, loss, hope and fear, Just Hold On doesn’t necessarily offer anything new to the indie-rock genre but more than makes up for that with the sweeping, epic nature of the track and its expertly constructed chorus.
Sharp exhibits a Kelly Jones-esq vocal style that compliments the music perfectly, as the track builds throughout, culminating in his atmospheric layered harmonies playfully interacting with Grant’s catchy guitar solo and head-bobbing drum beat.
