Ryan Gosling Announces That He’s To “Take A Break”

Ryan Gosling confirmed in an interview, earlier today, that he will be taking a break from acting, as he believes the audience need a break from him.

The Canadian actor, notable for his performance in The Notebook, Drive, Gangster Squad and many more, will surely leave a void in the acting community, whilst he takes his acting hiatus, but it will mostly shatter female hearts worldwide.

Gosling stated, “I’ve lost perspective on what I’m doing. I think it’s good for me to take a break and reassess why I’m doing it and how I’m doing it. And I think this is probably a good way to learn about that. I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does.”

Gosling has two final acting films already prepared for release this year, The Place Beyond The Pine (released March 29th 2013) and Only God Forgives (scheduled May 2013), but then he’ll turn his focus into his directing début.

The Blue Valentine star will be directing How To Catch A Monster at the end of year. He is yet to comment on whether he will pursue recording the sophomore album for his band, Dead Man’s Bones.
