Rolling Stones, Arctic Monkey and Mumford & Sons Revealed as Glastonbury Headliners

The Rolling Stones have been announced as headliners for Glastonbury 2013 along with Mumford and Sons and The Arctic Monkeys. The Rolling Stones will play the Worthy Farm festival for the first time in their 50 year history this June.

The announcement was made on the Glastonbury Festival website this evening as the Festival returns after taking a year break to accommodate the 2012 Olympics. The full line-up for the June festival was revealed with bands as varied as Kenny Rogers, Primal Scream and Dizzy Rascal all occupying the main Pyramid Stage.

Rumours were fueled earlier this month that The Rolling Stones would headline the festival after Kasabian’s Serge Pizzorno suggested that his band’s performance at Hard Rock Calling would be overshadowed by Rolling Stones appearance at Glastonbury.

Tickets for the festival have already sold out but there will be a limited number of resales next month.
