Review: Panama – It’s Not Over

With a support system as great as Muse, Panama pioneers a hot, new album. Brimming with yacht rock, this fine five-piece band trends some ‘new-wave’ tropical rhythm.

Panama is the birth child of Jarrah McCleary (creator of The Dirty Secrets) and Eric Broucek (co-producer of LCD Soundsystem, Holy Ghost). This cool combination intertwines melodies of cutting edge disco house riffling a soothing style and seminal electronic sound.

Jumping on to the scene with ‘It’s Not Over’ Panama draws a fine following of 80’s influenced-pop rock fans.  The Album is an amalgamation of dreamy synths, tropical grooves flourished with emotive vocals painting the sound-scape of summertime.

Panamas stellar performance boasts an infusive level, supporting fresh, new acts such as Parachute Youth, Dappled Cities and Van She. Their debut single ‘Magic’ burst to life, happily claiming a huge hit whilst circulating the thriving music scene.
