Review: Muse – MEN Arena, Manchester – 01/11/2012

Venturing across the world with ‘The 2nd Law’, Muse are on a global takeover after selling nearly every date of their tour out.

I was fortunate to catch them in Manchester, alongside 19,100 others, and the trio illustrated their reasoning for listed as “Best Live Act” for numerous years. After this performance, it is clear as day that they should continue to hold the ranking with their perfect sound set up, spectacular light show and their incredible pyramid changing stage.

With a set consisting of their latest album and a great compilation of their other five albums, it offered a  great mix for all Muse fans of all generations. ‘New Born’ along with ‘Plug in Baby’ got the crowd jumping for the roof, along with ‘Supermassive Black Hole’ and other classics that you can see they still have a passion to play.

‘Liquid State’ offered a fantastic experience for the viewers, as you got to witness Matt Bellamy take a step back whilst Chris Wolstenholme took to centre stage and excelled with his performance of his own track, maybe this is a sign of more tracks by him in the future, who knows…

Muse were definitely on form, as nothing seemed away from exceptional.
