Review: Imagine Dragons – Night Visions

Night Visions is quite possibly one of the most instantly recognisble albums I have heard in the past few years, firstly because its UK release is well over 6 months after it first debuted in the US and secondly the amount of airtime these guys get, especially through adverts and featuring a song on FIFA 13 you can’t help finding yourself humming along to the songs without even realising that you knew them.

Highlights from the album include ‘It’s Time’, ‘On Top of The World’ and ‘Radioactive’, all of which are catchy pop-songs which will certainly propel the band to being the highlight of many of this summers festivals. But to be quite honest any of the tracks featured on this album could quite easily fall into this category with ‘Demons’, ‘Tiptoe’ and ‘Amsterdam’ providing a perfect combination to the middle of the album which will almost certainly prove to be a UK summer hit.

The album as a whole is well-rounded and has featured on many film and television adverts with Assassins Creed III and FIFA 13 being the two most obvious examples. If there is one album which you have to listen to this year, this is the one. It combines electro-pop and rock almost seamlessly and has something for everyone’s taste. From the ‘wub wub’ of Radioactive to the epic ‘Bleeding Out’ the album offers nothing but top quality pop.
