Even with promises from festival organiser Melvin Benn of “More dance music, quite a bit more other bits and pieces” at the joint festival in 2013, annual goers of the festivals probably weren’t expecting Eminem to be announce as one of the headliners for the August bank holiday weekend event.
What will be 12 years on from his last headline slot at the festival; American rapper Eminem will headline the main stage in his only UK festival appearance of 2013. If his headline slot at T in the Park Festival in 2010 is anything to go by, this appearance at Reading and Leeds is one not to be missed!
He joins the bill that already includes Mercury Prize winners Alt-J who will headline the NME/Radio 1 tent, Sub Focus who will headline the Dance tent, Boy Better Know who will headline the new BBC Radio1 Xtra stage and also a main stage slot for alternative rockers Deftones.
Tickets for Reading and Leeds festivals 2013 are on sale now at 2012 prices until December 31. Fans can also get their tickets through the £50 deposit scheme.
