Reading and Leeds Set To “Add More Music” For 2013 Festivals

Reading and Leeds Festival organisers have confirmed they plan to expand the stages and genres for 2013. Up to three new stages may be added to the festivals as they attempt to attract a more diverse audience.

Although the organisers plan to add more music to the festivals, the capacity for each venue will remain the same. The first acts for the festival will be announced at midday on Thursday (29th November) the day before pre-sale tickets are made available to the public.

Festival Organiser Melvin Benn suggetsed that “there will be a bit more dance music, quite a bit more other bits and pieces”. Which suggests that the festival may move away from it’s rock routes in order to maintain it’s strong audience.  With Glastonbury returning after it’s year out Leeds and Reading Festival will be doing all they can to ensure a sell-out festival.

Reading and Leeds Festival will take place between 23-25 August 2013 and pre-sale tickets will be available from this Friday (30th November) at 9am.
