METZ Announce UK November Headline Tour

METZ are pleased to announce that they will be returning to the UK and Europe for a string of headline shows in November.

The band has just wrapped up tours with Mudhoney and the Meat Puppets as well as a stint with Fucked Up and Titus Andronicus. Since their debut, self-titled, album was released on Sub Pop in October, the band haven’t afforded themselves the luxury of being off the road. Performances at SXSW and Primavera this year have cemented the band’s reputation as not only one of the loudest but also one of the most intense live bands the world has to offer right now.

Praise for the band comes from both sides of the Atlantic. Pitchfork described the record as, “…29 minutes of pure but artfully rendered chaos,” and the NME have tipped them as revivalists of the scene that Sup Pop created in the early-‘90s. As well as a spread of praise across UK media, the band have also done a BBC Radio 1 live session for Huw Stephens and in March METZ was even the station’s “Record of the Week,” resulting in daytime plays for the band, a rarity in a pop-dominated culture.

It’s clear METZ are defining as well as inspiring and the juggernaut that carries this is showing no signs of slowing down. For all November UK headline dates see below. Tickets go on-sale Wednesday 12th June at 10am.
