London singer songwriter Luke Shaw has made a welcome return having just released his latest single, The Curse.
Fraser announced his unique sound through the release of his debut album Moth Eaten Romeo. in 2022. The album exhibited the range and ability Fraser possesses: rich, warm vocals and expertly played piano combine to create a mature sound. The result of this successful release was impressive support coming from tastemakers and national radio, ranging from Radio X and Absolute Radio to BBC Introducing and Clout Magazine.
Having taken a couple of years out, mainly touring both as a solo act as well as with his five-piece band, Fraser has released the sumptuous single, The Curse. The song is a theatrical, stirring and, at times, challenging piece of musicianship. The Curse explores the links between creativity, pain and beauty, and plays out in the style of a chaunteur delivering a tale of his life to a packed, smokey Parisian club of yesteryear. The track has a warmth and familiarity to it, offering a slice of artists such as John Grant or Rufus Wainwright, as Fraser belies his years through his discerning vocal delivery.
The Curse is one of a number of tracks that will be released over the coming year, culminating in the release of the EP, So Below.
