With Lawson’s début album soaring into the charts at No. 4 and the incredible success of their recent sell out Hometown’s Tour, it’s no wonder that the guys are already preparing for the next one. Lawson’s Chapman Square Tour will kick off on February 22nd and tickets go on-sale 9am on Friday 9th November.
This year, Lawson have had huge chart success with When She Was Mine (#4), Taking Over Me (#3), Standing In The Dark (#6) and now a top five début album with ‘Chapman Square’. Through radio shows and live festivals, Lawson have already performed to over 250,000 people across the UK and Europe in tours and summer festivals.
Frontman Andy Brown says, “we’re absolutely delighted to be announcing our next tour. It’s our biggest yet by a mile and announcing it is a great way to cap off what has been an amazing year for us. If you’d told us twelve months ago that we’d finish off 2012 with 3 top 10 singles, a top 5 album and now a 4th headline tour on the way, we’d have called you crazy. It’s all down to everyone who’s been out and bought the records and we’re really grateful.”
Drummer Adam Pitts was quick to add, “we’re most at home when we’re rocking out on stage and we can’t wait to put on an awesome show for everyone.”
Since the birth of Lawson, they have performed alongside some of the biggest names in the industry, including Jessie J and Bruce Springsteen. They are also no strangers to a big crowd after festival performances at V Festival, T In The Park and Hard Rock Calling to name but a few.
This is will be Lawson’s fourth consecutive tour in the last 18 months, after the previous three sold out completely.
