Launchbox: You Win Again Gravity

Well produced, fiercely delivered and youthful post-hardcore is perfectly formed from Windsor lads You Win Again Gravity. This is clearly an act who have toiled to get their sound as polished as this and have a small army of fans growing under the ‘YWAG’ brand.

With elements of progressive, math, even punk within their Soundcloud discography House Of Savages is delighted to have future superstars joining their line-up for March’s night. The aim is to get a mosh pit rotating seamlessly around the intimate audience area of our venue, The George Tavern and judging by the riotous riffs and powerful builds on their music, it won’t be hard to achieve.

Intricate melodies plucked out in the opening bars of “Skyline” (one of my favourites) is the calm before the storm, leaving way for the ruthless scream vocals to take the lead and pull the audience through to the chorus. And trust me, you’ll be joining in and making sure the learn the words for the next bought; this stuff is strangely catchy without an inkling of pop scarring the landscape.

A must listen for fans of ISSUES and Arcane Roots through to cult classics such as Hell Is For Heroes and Sparta. Their recent “Let Go Lightly” EP is a perfect sample of how brilliant this Windsor strong-hold can be. “Snakes On Paper” is another brilliant future anthem who easily take on their American counterparts for complexity and style. Going further back into their archive, their last EP Brightly Coloured Landscapes packs another punch with “Planet’s Align” being an early indication of greatness.
