Launchbox: Meg Mac

Anthemic, infectious and immersive are but a few words that come to mind when listening to Meg Mac. Songs such as ‘Grandma’s Hands’ capitulate what Miss Mac’s sound is all about: soul.

For fans of: Banks, Clean Bandit, Thelma Plum.

Having sold out a headlining tour in 2014, Mac has been supporting the likes of D’Angelo and Clean Bandit on their respective tours, as well as performing dates at festivals such as Groovin The Moo and SXSW, all in 2015. It’s clear that for her the snowball effect is in full motion, and this young lady is well on her way to pastures anew. She’s come a long way from the golden shores of Melbourne, Australia.

At times synth-driven and at times piano-driven, the one cornerstone and constant in Meg Mac’s music is the high degree of emotion or soul for the more hip amongst us. Her self-titled EP is available to stream and download through various sources such as iTunes, Spotify and Soundcloud. And it’s one that we at Fortitude highly recommend you get ahold of.
