Launchbox: Los & The Deadlines

It’s alternative rock. It’s hard rock. It’s thrash. It’s robot rock. What you’re about to consume is a brilliant genre that’s grown up and developed since the early 90’s with the likes of Queens Of The Stone Age at the helm. They’re not afraid to have a bit of fun with their lyrics and have a real rock attitude towards their style both sonically and visually. If you like Turbowolf, Pulled Apart By Horses or Hawk Eyes you will love this act.

Four London friends who in their own description say: “Much like the city that they hail from, the Deadlines are the establishment of anti-establishment. They make sound. They make noise.” What that actually means to you and me is that this is a slick and well oiled machine of alternative rock. In a world where their peers are ascending the ranks slowly but surely and becoming a real pull factor in the live circuit, Deadlines are one of the fresher faces in the ‘must see’ flock. Their EP Perfect Holiday is out now for you to cast your ears over, but their discography is far meatier to get to know them before you see the live set.

For those of you that like to sit quietly with a glass of wine and clap along pleasantly chit-chattering to your peers, House Of Savages probably isn’t for you. If you like a good rock out and to drink your choice of mead among the company of like minded rockers then come on down! Hope to see you on Wednesday 9th down at The George, E1.
