The Kooks have announced details of their forthcoming album, along with the latest single ‘Around Town’.
New album, the band’s fourth, is named ‘Listen’ and is expected to be released on September 1st, with lead single ‘Around Town’ to be released on June 15th.

The new album was produced by Luke Pritchard himself alongside hip hop producer Inflo which signifies The Kooks are moving away from their well known roots and showcases their new direction.
On the album, Luke said “this album is about pure expression. Even the way we made the album felt fresh. Rather than us just being a band in a room, playing our guitars with the vocal over the top, which is what we’d always done before, we were really listening to what was going on around us, picking up ideas. The whole thing was much more natural.”
The Kooks are about to embark on a mini UK tour, which starts with a closing set at this year’s Liverpool Sound City festival before playing tour dates in Glasgow, Manchester, London and Birmingham before going on to a summer full of festivals around Europe.
