Julianne Moore has been cast as President Coin in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay.
After months of speculation, she’s been confirmed as playing the district 13 leader, a key role in the final novel of the Suzanne Collins teen trilogy.
President Coin is heavily involved in Panem’s uprising, and frequently clashes with Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss Everdeen.
She joins two other new actresses who’ve bagged roles in the franchise for the final installments; Stef Dawson, who will portray Annie, the love interest of Sam Claflin’s Finnick Odair, and Game of Thrones’ Natalie Dormer, who will play film director Cressida.
The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, the second film in the franchise, will be released on November 22.
Mockingjay will be split in two parts and will arrive in cinemas in 2014 and 2015.
