Chart dominating boyband JLS have called it quits, five years after finding stardom on TV talent show the X Factor.
After 5 UK number 1 singles, two Brit Awards amongst other awards and countless sold-out world tours, the band have said this is the right time to end it and ‘end on a high’. JLS will end the band with a greatest hits album, one final single and a farewell tour at the end of the year.
The band released a statement on their website confirming the split:
“To each and every JLSter, our beloved fans around the world. We wanted to make sure that you heard it from the four of us, that we have decided to bring our time as a band to an end. It has been the most incredible journey over the last six years and we have achieved more things than we could have ever dreamed possible. Thanks to all of you guys, your support, your dedication and your love, you have changed our lives forever and we wouldn’t be where we are today without you”.
