Introducing: Handmade Festival

Handmade Festival is a brand new city centre arts festival taking place at venues across Leicester over the weekend of the 24-26 May 2013.

Featuring music, stand-up comedy, film screenings and interactive art and photography exhibitions the festival will be taking over not just the city’s established music venues, such as Firebug and The Cookie Jar, but reclaiming spaces new to music and arts events including the Guildhall, The People’s Photographic Gallery and Bishop Street Methodist Church, all hosting live events over the weekend.

Confirmed to headline various stages so far are: Rolo Tomassi, Nine Black Alps, The Twilight Sad, We Were Promised Jetpacks and Johnny Foreigner. Sky Larkin, Dutch Uncles and Katie Malco will also make an appearance. With many more to be announced in the forthcoming weeks, musicians from across Leicester’s thriving music scene will also be playing. The first of these to be announced being; Her Name Is Calla, Little Night Terrors, We Three And The Death Rattle, Dark Dark Horse and Kenworthy.

Handmade Festival takes place on Friday 24, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26th May 2013. Early bird wristbands are on sale now from the website at www.handmadefestival.co.uk
