Indiependence Announce Second Batch Of Acts

Indiependence Music & Arts Festival takes place in Mitchelstown, Cork, and in recent years has managed to scoop out an amazing line-up of some of the best current talents, both locally and further afield.

Adding to a line-up already oozing festival vibes with the likes of Public Enemy, White Lies and Tom Odell all headlining, and Irish stars Damien Dempsey, Delorentos and Walking On Cars also stuck on the bill, the festival has today announced some more fresh artists to kick up a hype.

Returning to Mitchelstown this year will be Irish duo, Hudson Taylor. Having been premiered on Zane Lowe’s Hottest Record on BBC Radio 1 with their forthcoming re-recorded single ‘Battles’, these guys are right on the brink of being Ireland’s next big thing. Indiependence chose right getting them back again after their performance in the Big Top stage last year.

Also rocking up to flaunt his soulful vocals and dark, yet uplifting sound is singer/songwriter Hozier. Making his big break with ‘Take Me To Church’, Hozier recently released his brand new ‘From Eden’ EP, proving he’s got a lot more to give. His festival set will be one to watch.

Having received compliments across the board with his début album ‘Sweet Disarray’, Dan Croll has joined the bill, along with his many festival expectations this Summer.

Further additions include the likes of The Vincents, Elastic Sleep, The Altered Hours and Toy Soldier – all flying the flag for the Cork music scene.

More acts are still to be announced for the Barcardi Oakheart Arena, Spoken Word Stage, Comedy and Breaking Tunes over the coming weeks.
