Funtitudes – Fortitude Gaming Weekly Webcomic

Remember the funnies you’d see in the paper? Well these are the Fortitude funnies…the Funtitudes. Join me every week as I illustrate the frustrations, delights, and downright weird aspects of being a gamer.

As this is the first week, have 2 comics on me!

Selfish NPCs!

Chris Ellis Comics

Is it just me, or are selfish NPCs everywhere in games?
You always play the hero, with the incredible hard task of saving the world/planet/ship/universe with little of the games currency, and absolutely no help from the many NPCs. I’d like to think that if a massive catastrophe happened in real life, you’d probably receive a lot of aid from the rest of the world. Not in a game though. No, you must defeat evil with an empty coin purse, rubbish weapons, and a lot of sarcastic conversations from shop keepers.

Uncharted 4: Drake’s Arrest

2

I love the Uncharted series, the puzzles, the brilliant surroundings, engaging gameplay, the cinematic cutscenes. Nathan Drake is just your everyday hero in jeans and a shirt, loveable, charismatic, tough, and a casual mass murderer. Wait, what?! Yeah you read that right, he’s a mass murderer. How many people does he kill per game in the series? No really if you know tweet me your answers! The employment turn over rate for being a bad guy in Drake’s presence must be the highest in the world.  There are points in each game where you have wave after wave of enemies coming at you, and you have to kill everyone in order to progress in the storyline. After about 3 or 4 deaths, the ‘self defence’ excuse is going to look very dodgy.
