Electro indie trio Friendly Fires have been quiet since their impressive 2011 second album ‘Pala’, but have announced a return in sorts as they release a teaser of a collaboration.
Not expected to be involved in the bands new album plans, the collaboration see’s Friendly Fires team up with Andrew Weatherall and Timothy Fairplay in by what sounds a more ambient dance based experiment than what Friendly Fires music is best known for.
The collaboration named Friendly Fires And The Asphodells will release the double sided single ‘Before Your Eyes/Velo’ on March 31st through Friendly Fires own label Telephase. The single will be available on digital download and 12″ vinyl.
There is currently no update on Friendly Fires third studio album, although it is thought they are currently in the studio.
