US psych legends the Flaming Lips have announced a short run of UK tour dates for May 2014.
The band who are well known for their eccentric, theatrical live performances, will play a set of four dates across the UK in support of their 2013 album The Terror.
The psychedelic pioneers, fronted by Wayne Coyne, recently performed a cover of the Beatles’ ‘Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds’ on The Late Show With David Letterman, as part of celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Fab Four’s performances on the Ed Sullivan Show.
The tour dates are as follows:

27th – Manchester, O2 Apollo
28th – London, O2 Academy Brixton
29th – Nottingham, Capital FM Arena
Tickets go on sale Friday at 9am.
