Eminem Matches Beatles U.S. Chart Record

Hip hop icon Eminem has this week equaled a U.S. chart record, that had been held by the Beatles for almost 50 years.

The American rap star currently has four songs in Billboard’s Top 100’s Top 20, a feat which has not been achieved by anyone since the Fab Four first did it in 1964.

The news comes in a week which has seen Eminem’s new album The Marshall Mathers LP 2 sell 792,000 copies in America in it’s first week of release, and currently sits in the number one position of the charts. These figures make the record the second fastest selling in the U.S. so far this year.

All eight of Eminem’s previously released albums under Aftermath/Interscope have also reentered the Billboard Top 200.
