Late 70’s Liverpool creation, Echo & The Bunnymen have just revealed ‘Lovers On The Run’, the first single from their forthcoming album ‘Meteorites’.
‘Meteorites’ is the band’s 12th studio album, first in five years. The album is graced with ten tracks written by frontman Ian McCulloch and performed with fellow original band member Will Sergeant.
Said to be on par with some of the Bunnymen’s greatest records from the 80’s and 90’s, the record is set to hold emotive and candid lyrical creations alongside striking instrumentals.
“For me, this is a whole new approach. It’s more edgy than anything I’ve ever done. I’m dealing with something on this record I didn’t want to deal with for a long time.”
– McCulloch
