Fortitude are very excited to present Dolman. The project comes from new Bristol duo Scott Hendy, of Malachai on Domino Records, and Ben Salisbury, who is in DROKK on Invada Records with Portishead’s Geoff Barrow.
Salisbury also composes film and TV soundtracks, ranging from David Attenborough’s ‘Life of… ‘ series to Beyoncé’s recent self-directed documentary. Consequently, Dolman’s self-titled debut album – released June 9th on new Bristol imprint Inflexion Point – is a highly cinematic affair featuring a variety of guest vocalists.
A highlight of the album is the poignant The Rainbow, which draws-in the atmospheric and dark alluring sound of Portishead. The track combines a beautiful, surging piano piece, with Adele Emmas‘s flawless vocal. It’s only a matter of time until The Rainbow features in a film soundtrack.
