Dizzee Rascal Announces ‘Bassline Junkie’ Single

After tearing up the new year in style with the release of DirteeTV.com The Mixtape Vol.2, Dizzee Rascal releases featured track ‘Bassline Junkie’ that has been bringing a leviathan of big dirtee stinkin bass into 2013 since the Dirtee TV Mixtape and EP dropped earlier this month.

‘Bassline Junkie’ is just a taster of what is to come from Dizzee’s forthcoming fifth studio album that he has been working on both in the UK and Stateside with some of the biggest names on the scene and is due for release later this year.  The video for ‘Bassline Junkie’ by French directing collective MegaForce features Dizzee preaching the religion of Bass to the community and banishing any Dirtee demons within clocking up near 1 million views in under two weeks ad taking over at MTV Base and VIVA as Video of the Week on both channels.




It’s been almost 10 years since the release of Dizzee’s debut single ‘I Luv U’ marking a big year for the East London emcee turned worldwide legend, he has not only been responsible for the ground breaking ‘Boy In Da Corner’ but also three subsequent hit albums including the self-released platinum ‘Tongue and Cheek’ which spawned 5 number one singles in the UK which was honoured but the Official Charts Company last year.

With countless accolades and industry awards under his belt including coveted Mercury Music Prize, Ivor Novello, Brit and most recently a landmark performance at the 2012 Olympics, Dizzee has proved he is one of the most successful British artists of all time.   His eagerly anticipated new album will once again showcase his genre-fusing musical genius which has made him one of the true pioneers and influencers of the International music scene.
