Deep Purple Announce UK Tour

Deep Purple today announced a string of UK dates in support of their forthcoming new album ‘Now What?!’, released on April 29 in the UK.

The band will start their UK jaunt on the 12th October in Manchester, taking in dates in Glasgow, Birmingham and finishing at London’s Roundhouse on October 16. Tickets go on sale on Friday 8th March at 9am from www.livenation.co.uk or www.ticketmaster.co.uk

‘Now What?!’ has been produced by Bob Ezrin, one of the most important rock producers of all time (Pink Floyd, Alice Cooper, Kiss and many more), it features 11 new songs. It was recorded with no musical rules, and it shows a modern and fresh production, to the point that Deep Purple have never sounded so close to the spirit of the 70’s in the last 20 years as they do now. The record has the excellence and elegance of ‘Perfect Strangers’ and the wild freedom of ‘Made in Japan’.

It will also be released as a limited edition with a bonus DVD featuring the band discussing the new album and one bonus studio cover version. It will be released as a double vinyl LP and will be released in the UK on April 29.

The first taste of ‘Now What?!’ will be the release of a double A-side single on March 29th. Side A “Hell To Pay”/Side B “All The Time In The World”.

12 October – Manchester Apollo

13 October – Glasgow Clyde Auditorium

15 October – Birmingham NIA

16 October – London Roundhouse

Tickets are priced at £35 regionally and £35/£47.50 for London (subject to booking fee). Tickets go on sale at 9am March 8th.
