Danny Boyle Returns To Big Screen With Trance

Following the spectacular London 2012 Olympic Opening Ceremony, Academy Award® winning director Danny Boyle returns to the big screen with Trance.

This psychological thriller is about a fine art auctioneer, mixed up with a criminal gang, who join forces with a hypnotherapist to recover a lost painting. The film, starring James McAvoy (Atonement, X-Men First Class), Vincent Cassel (Black Swan, Mesrine) and Rosario Dawson (Seven Pounds, Sin City), is released in UK cinemas on Wednesday 27th March 2013.

The film re-unites Boyle with many of his frequent collaborators, including screenwriter John Hodge (Trainspotting, Shallow Grave) and Underworld’s Rick Smith – who has composed the original score.

Trance is a Pathé, Fox Searchlight Pictures and Film4 presentation of a Cloud Eight/Decibel Films production. The film is produced by Christian Colson (Slumdog Millionaire), with Bernard Bellew, Francois Ivernel, Cameron McCracken,Tessa Ross, Steven Rales and Mark Roybal as Executive Producers.
