Dangerous! Announce Hiatus And Tommy Rutland Goes Solo

Australian bad boys, Dangerous! have recently announced that the band are currently on hiatus, as Tommy Rutland begins a pursuit of a solo career.

The hardcore quartet, who rose to fame in 2011 following the release of their debut album ‘Teenage Rampage’ via Epitaph Records, were rumoured to be recording for album 2 late-last year. However, with the band slowly slipping away from their social media accounts, their website shutting down and no further information spilled, the future of Dangerous! looked in uncertainty.

Having toured alongside the likes of Young Guns, performed numerous crazy DJ sets and gathered much deserved recognition by media outlets, it was interesting to see where the band would go next as they searched for a “new sound”. Unfortunately, it appears that sound hasn’t arrived.

Making a statement on Twitter yesterday, the band announced that the band were on hiatus and vocalist Tommy Rutland would commence on a new musical solo path.

Rutland describes his new sound as a “Nu-tronic, tuff, bounce”, with his instantly recognisable screams still remaining partially present in this new venture. However, the new dramatic transformation and search of psychedelia seems to be something that looks to be hotly anticipated, as Rutland prepares to embark on an Australian and EU tour in the not-so distant future.

After causing chaos in Bangkok with nothing but a guitar, duck tape and a GoPro camera, Rutland’s charismatic danger antics remain ever present. The outcome of all this? A 4-minute video for his recent release ‘Poison’, check it out:
