COURTS release addictive new track ‘Glass Half Empty’

The Essex-based band are making waves with their new track.

With the hip hop world currently transfixed and overwhelmed by trap music, it’s a breath of fresh air to see something different come into the fore. Essex five-piece, COURTS, aren’t predominantly hip hop but fuse these tendencies with soft-rock/indie twangs, providing an interesting, heart-warming merge of genres. ‘Glass Half Empty’ is the new single packed full of addictive guitar riffs and well-executed, light hearted rapping; a premature summer anthem dedicated to kicking us out of our January blues.

The boys: Dan, Luke, Reece, Chris and Joe have been recognised for their work by industry professionals and Radio presenters Zane Lowe and Huw Stephens, as well as being premiered on Beats 1 radio by Julie Adenuga. The band were also featured on The Guardian’s ‘Band Of The Day’ in 2015, whilst spending the majority of last year touring across the UK, including Bestival, Boomtown and Converse Rubber Tracks. 2016 looks to be a similar scenario for COURTS, touring in summer with forthcoming shows at London’s Shoreditch House.
