After much speculation from the media about Debbie Harry’s intention to retire after Blondie’s next world tour, the band have released the following statement:
” In relation to the recent news articles regarding Blondie breaking up: We want to clarify this rumour has no truth in it what so ever.
We are still very much working together as a band on new music, plans for the future, and look forward to seeing our fans on tour around the globe.”
Blondie, formed in New York in 1974, recently went on a UK tour in July and have a number of North American dates yet to complete in September and October. Their new album “Ghosts of Download” is expected later this year.
