Emerging electronic artist Badliana has just dropped her fierce new single ‘Mayday’, just in time for the weekend.
Badliana’s sultry vocals breeze over the eclectic mix of soundscapes, creating something between Rico Nasty and Little Dragon as a result. Talking about the single, Badliana explains, “‘Mayday’ is bossy, confident and all about just doing what you want, when you want, manifesting it and achieving it basically. It’s about taking control and just fully allowing yourself to be yourself and not giving a f**k about what anyone thinks”.
Badliana is currently based in Bristol where she regularly collaborates with producer Mussi. Her debut EP – released via female-led label Saffron Records – received praise from the likes of Mixmag, Crack, Clash, BBC Radio 1 and BBC 1 XTRA to name a few.
