Album Review: Architects – Lost Forever // Lost Together

Architects have been releasing tracks off of their latest albums for the past few weeks on their social media platforms, followed swiftly by a full album stream on the Epitath Records YouTube page. The album finally dropped for people to buy today and my god what an album it is!

If you haven’t listened to it, be prepared for heaviness from the get go. ‘Gravedigger‘, ‘Naysayer‘ and ‘Broken Cross‘ are three of the stand out tracks on the album. They are also the three opening tracks. Having such a strong start to an album can be the downfall of it and at times I believe the 5 piece metalcore act from Brighton struggled.

Songs such as ‘Dead Man Talking‘ and ‘C.A.N.C.E.R‘ are also strong songs but at points across the album I found that some of the vocals don’t always seem to fit in with the rest of the music. This takes away from the album but only in the slightest. I can see this album having such effect on the metalcore scene as ‘Sempiternal’ by Bring Me The Horizon had last year. For those who do not know, this album saw a massive increase in the popularity of this genre.

Architects are currently touring the UK to promote the release of Lost Forever // Lost Together:

March 10th: Brighton – The Haunt

March 11th: Cardiff – Cardiff Solus

March 12th: Birmingham – The Institute

March 13th: Southampton – Mo’Club

March 14th : London – Koko
