Album Launch: Ben Montague @ Hard Rock Café, London

After being named as Hard Rock Café’s Artist of the Month, singer-songwriter Ben Montague, holds a special media launch event for the release of his upcoming album “Back Into Paradise“.

As I arrive at London’s  Hard Rock Café Back Room, the room is already filled with family, friends and a lucky bunch of fans who have made it to this special intimate gig to launch the release of Montague’s album “Back Into Paradise“, due for release on the 15th of June. The upcoming album was produced by Peter-John Vettese, who has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney, Pet Shop Boys, Dido and Annie Lennox and co-written songs with Sia, Tom Odell and James Bay.

Montague began the acoustic set with “Looking For Love” and “Serendipity” which was met a round of applause. He expresses how lovely it is to play songs acoustically for the first time in front of an audience before leading into “Gonna Love Again“.

The high tempo is set as Montague plays the lead single and title of his upcoming release, “Back Into Paradise“, which helped build the narrative of the album, and shows the raw strength of his vocals. “We Start Over” is the first track on the upcoming album and screams emotion with lyrics, “we crash, we burn, we live, we learn, we bruise, we cry, we walk to fire..”, guaranteed to have fans singing back in future shows.

Favourite track of the evening was “Runaway” which had a delicate guitar-picking pattern with a cheerful tone and softer, subtle vocals from Montague and calming harmonies which is guaranteed to lead listeners to their own paradise.

Montague also played older and more familiar tracks to the joy of the fans including “The Truth” and ending his set with “Sweet Amelia“.

Montague was accompanied by Ben Parker on the guitar throughout, providing beautiful harmonies.
