Act Of The Day: Josef Salvat (1)

From coming out of seemingly nowhere, brand new Australian singer-songwriter Josef Salvat has set the internet alight after releasing his début song ‘This Life’.

About: In accordance to The Fader, ‘This Life’ has catapulted Josef Salvat’s career as he elbows “his way to the front of the year’s ‘pop guys to watch queue”.

With his honest story-telling, downbeat melodic structures and slow-steady vocals, it comes as no surprise as we witness this Australian singer-songwriter climb the HypeMachine charts. He’s perched as #2 in the ‘No-Remix’ category and #9 in ‘Most Blogged’; this is not surprising when he’s already received arousing support from the likes of Planet Notion and MTV Iggy too.

The future looks bright for Salvat, as he prepares for his début live performance in Brighton on March 26th, supporting Willy Moon, and his headline show in London on March 27th at The Waiting Room.

Reminds me of: Morrissey and Lana Del Rey’s love child.

What to expect: ‘This Life’ is released March 25th:
