The four piece Manchester band, The Reveurs, debut single ‘Control‘, along with perfectly matched b-side ‘Saint Marie‘, have set the standard high for what’s to come from them in the future.
The band have been touring and making waves around the Manchester scene and with the official release of their debut single it is set to catapult them into new heights.
‘Control‘ starts off with a strong guitar riff which sets the tempo and instantly tells you that this is going to be an anthemic hit. The bouncy bass notes force you to move in time with the songs and the deep vocals bring the mix of instruments to a well rounded sound. The riff is repeated throughout the song and allows the lyrics to be heard crisply in the verses. The instruments stop on the heavy beat of the drum and break down into a slower pace, building up momentum and supporting Gary Nelson’s lyrics being projected out from the song. The catchy guitar riff kicks back behind the powerful words adding extra power and attention to the song as a whole.
The B-side track ‘Saint Marie‘ is an excelled supporting track to The Reveurs’ debut single. The bass riff starting the song is brought to life by another sensational guitar riff, mimicking the brilliance of ‘Control‘. The vocals are just as powerful as they are in the debut single and emphasises the enthusiasm the band posses for their music.
This combination of spectacular hits are a great platform for The Reveurs to launch themselves into their future of success. They set the standard high and hold the key to unlocking their talent and emerging from the midst of the Manchester music scene.
