Rae Morris is the 19-year old, Blackpool-born, singer-songwriter that has shot to stardom, after remarkable performances on the ‘BBC Introducing Stage’ over a hectic summer festival period.
Learning piano at an early age and forever underestimating her ability, but Rae found a voice that she didn’t know she had. Her musical prowess, emotional song-writing and powerful vocals have helped to captivate the hearts of many, including The Independent, “Morris’ huge voice is accompanied by delicate piano and a subtle guitar line on this slow-burning torch ballad. Understated but strong”.
After signing to Atlantic Records and International Talent Booking, her success within the industry has not gone unnoticed. After being personally invited to the Africa Express Tour, supports slots alongside Bombay Bicycle Club and Noah & The Whale, as well as sharing the stage alongside the award-winning Malian singer, Rokia Traore; it’s clear as day that she won’t be disappearing from everyone’s sights too soon.
Morris is currently on a European tour supporting Fink, but has recently released the video for her single ‘Grow’, which is now available on iTunes. Check out the video below:
