US R&B singer Corey Jon will release his UK debut EP Crazy Glue on 7th April.

The singer, who was the star in the Tony Award winning Broadway show ‘Fela!’, will release the EP to coincide with his first ever live UK performance at the Queen of Hoxton, London on the 7th April.

‘Fela!’ was produced by Jay Z and Will Smith, and was what inspired Jon to launch his own solo music career. On performing in the musical he said, “Fela changed the trajectory of my life. Fela’s music allowed me to have a new perspective of social political commentary. And performing for people like Madonna, Prince, Janet Jackson, Sting, President Obama and Oprah, I was able to meet and talk to everyone I admired in the entertainment industry. Being in the company of great artists helped confirm my own plan.”

Jon looks set to have a busy year in 2014, having been cast in yet another Broadway show, this time in Tommy Mottola’s (ex-Sony boss) ‘Superfly’. He is also working on his debut album, which is due out early 2015, as well as looking to launch his own clothing line.
