Italian/English singer/songwriter Jack Savoretti has announced an Irish date in The Sugar Club on February 19th.

Savoretti quite making music four years ago, sick of scratching a living as an independent artist and frankly thought it time to find a new job. Although, with this came an incredible outburst of personal lyrics and emotive songwriting which led him onto his most impressive batch of work to date.

“As soon as I said, ‘screw this’, I couldn’t stop writing. I wrote out of anger, although the songs were more of a cry for help. It was the best, most personal music I’d ever made. I realised I had really learnt how to write, how to express exactly what was in my head.”

From this stemmed his first major record deal, sprouting into a stunning new album due out in 2015, and a new single ‘Tie Me Down’.

Having performed recently at Doyle’s Ruby Sessions, Jack is creating an Irish following, and they’ll undoubtedly welcome him back in February, this time to The Sugar Club.

Jack Savoretti plays The Sugar Club on February 19th. Tickets on sale this Friday, October 24th at 9am from any ticketmaster outlet and ticketmaster.ie.
