ACRYLIC takes us on an emotional journey with their latest single ‘Money From Home’.
If you’re a fan of Joy Division and melancholic, storytelling music then you should definitely check out what we’ve prepared for you. Following the release of the praised ‘I’ve Got Too Many Friends’, ACRYLIC are back with another spot-on song.
‘Money From Home’ is a song about all stages of break up that are on everyone’s way in order
to let someone go. Gentle harmonies, deep Andreas Chrsitodoulidis’ baritone and dreamy guitars blend flawlessly into a whole. “The first verse centres around a peaceful moment,” Andreas elaborates, “sleeping beside someone during a snowstorm and that feeling that the room becomes the entire world for a night. The second verse explores the onset of tiredness
and the acknowledgement that you’re drifting apart gradually. The chorus and middle 8
represent acceptance and farewell”.
This single is a story about the power, process and magic of acceptance. Most of us are aware
of how important acknowledgement of the current situation is, but a little reminder from time to
time is always helpful.
‘Money From Home’ is out now via Scottish Fiction.
