Climbing up the ladder towards mainstream acknowledgement, Sheffield rockers Drenge bring a really dirty, loud, rock sound similar to that of Queens of the Stone Age.

A band that at the moment you would find rocking out small basement venues across the country causing riots with their quickly growing fan base, they certainly wont be playing in small venues for long. With an album on the way sometime in 2013, along with going on tour supporting Deap Valley and their biggest show to date supporting The Cribs at their NME Awards show coming up, Drenge are only going to pick up more fans along the way.

With singles ‘Dogmeat’ and ‘People in Love Make Me Feel Yuck’ already behind them, songtitles sending as many shivers through your bones as the heavy riffs do, new single ‘Bloodsports’ is the heaviest the band have gone yet.

With bands such as Palma Violets soaking up the success so far in 2013 for their loud, heavy guitar riff, sound, it opens the door for bands like Drenge to really make a name for themselves. I have a real good feeling this band will take 2013 by storm.
