1Xtra announce Best of British Soundclash

Six months after the success of the 1Xtra D&B Soundclash, BBC Radio 1Xtra have announced a Best of British Soundclash, hosted by everyone’s favourite 1Xtra DJ, Mistajam, set to air February 19th.

Featuring the Soundclash titans Chase & Status’ MTA Records, still celebrating their Culture Clash win as Rebel Sound, we are expecting dubplate specials, big beats and plenty of banter from all involved.

Second on the line up; Black Butter Records have gone from strength to strength over the last five years, picking up the Best Small Label at the 2012 Association of Independent Music Awards. BB joins 3 Beat Music, home to a few select artists including Skepta, Sigma, Fuse ODG and Duck Sauce.

Bringing up the rear will be the drum & bass big dogs, Hospital Records, run by London Elektricity and home to everyone from Metrik, High Contrast, Danny Byrd to Keeno & Etherwood. With two soundclash titles under their belt (1Xtra D&B Soundclash, Hospital vs. Rudimental @ V Fest) are they looking to make this a third time lucky?

Get your gun-fingers out and ready for the best Thursday night since you were at University…
