Liverpool have rejected a £30m bid from Arsenal for temperamental yet mercurial striker, Luis Suarez.
Brendan Rodgers and the rest of the Liverpool hierarchy appear to be sticking to their guns as far as the Uruguayan is concerned as Arsenal’s offer was “rejected out of hand” by Liverpool as they reiterated that their star player is not for sale.
Although the offer is well below what is perceived by many to be the 26-year-old’s actual value, it could become the catalyst for more offers from other clubs as the forward has already said in the past month how hard he’d find it to turn down a move to the likes of Real Madrid and so on. However Suarez has also said how he’s lost patience with the British media because of their treatment of him and wouldn’t mind getting away from it so moving to another British club would undermine that statement completely.
Suarez has three years left on his current Liverpool deal and it is understood that neither he nor his representatives have spoken to Liverpool about any proposed transfers however the forward is currently on leave after the Confederations Cup so that doesn’t mean some form of discussion won’t happen when he does return to Liverpool.
