This single is essentially a perfectly woven stitch of their two crafts tangled together – a deep and thought-provoking electronic spoken word.
Title and opening track ‘Karaoke Queen’ is an upbeat electronic creation hitting lyrics which challenge the present world’s expectations and norms.
Through quite an opposite vibe, B side ‘A Candle Burns’ is a strikingly mellow track, instrumentally, but carries an equally hard-hitting message with equal force.
It’s quite a strange dynamic, this one. The single isn’t a burst of musical geniality or a genre that’s just so fresh in itself. But maybe that’s it – it’s so unusual and so bewildering yet straight forward that it draws you into a controversial silent discussion solely between your mind and a recorded lyrical platform.
