Well what a lovely little find we have here. I’m not sure why Kevin Pearce hasn’t been on our radar yet but if his latest single ‘Maria Come Home’ is anything to go by, he deserves your undivided attention.

This stunning single feels like its just fallen out of a scene in Love Actually. Its beautiful, heartwarming, as well as heart wrenching and seems perfectly fitted to this time of year. Kevin’s warm, emotive lead vocal powers gracefully over the delicate, bittersweet melody the musicality carries. If you’re not feeling festive already, give this track a few listens.

‘Maria Come Home’ is actually an ode to the tragic life of the late, great Soprano Maria Callas, opera’s first international superstar. Pearce explains “it was written after being frozen still whilst first hearing her voice and further reading about her life, which was as incredible as it was troubled.”

There’s a great video to coincide with the single as well:

‘Maria Come Home’ is out now via Dharma Records.
