Jack Ellis has been making waves in the music industry for some time now and its not difficult to see why with tracks like ‘Disdained’ coming out of the woodwork.

Despite his young age, Jack seems to already have a wealth of experience under his belt. His songwriting skills and musicianship is top notch, creating a sounds that the likes of Ben Howard and Hozier would be proud of. ‘Disdained’ builds slowly, with just the cymbals crashing and guitar strings plucking at first before Ellis’ distinctive gritty vocals comes into play and takes the lead. The song could perhaps build up a little quicker as not to lose the audience but once it hits – boy does it! Jack has progressed from acoustic folk singer-songwriter into a fully fledged rock musician on this track and not a moment sooner.

With an array of strong singles in his pocket now, we’re excited to see what Jack does next. Keep your eyes and ears peeled on this guy.

‘Disdained’ is out now via District South Records.
