After dropping their hugely anticipated latest album ‘Sonic Highways’, Dave Grohl appeared on BBC Radio 1 last night (12 November) to announce the Foo Fighters return to the UK.
The band will play 5 huge stadium shows, leaving a precarious gap for Glastonbury at the end of the tour which runs between May and June 2015 and includes two huge shows at Wembley connected by EE.
Foo Fighters will play:
May 25 – Stadium of Light, Sunderland
May 27 – Old Trafford Cricket Ground, Manchester
June 19 – Wembley connected by EE, London
June 20 – Wembley connected by EE, London
June 23 – Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh.
Iggy Pop and Royal Blood will provide support at both Wembley connected by EE shows, with Royal Blood only confirmed for Edinburgh. Other support bands will be announced at a later date.
Tickets for the Foo Fighters UK tour go on general sale next Friday (November 21) at 10am.
